Landscape of loneliness
10:47
|
|||
Locked up in a hourglass no sense of gravity
twisting and turning upside down afloat onto the void
I was you, you will be me
in a constant turn of matter
melting our souls, shapes, and minds
forever again
Chasing remedy for you is what I always do
confusing memories of a time I can't belong to
Spilling black milk from the ground makes you weak
red-bricked cigars crack the sky and leave me bleak
The edges are blurred
In the greatest creation of men
Now fading away
Enjoy your last day
Look to this flooded world, (Oh, I don't care!)
Aren't you scared by all these plastic faces? (I'm not afraid)
Do you think it's God's design? (so what can I do?)
Tomorrow you'll figure it out
I'll set the countdown clock without regrets
Feeding hungry beasts with false promises
Passing empty days bent by the rules
(but) in troubled nights I dream of fortunes and fools
Pleasing the end
A landscape of loneliness
I'm crossing the lines my bad for this crime
Once we used to draw our ways just by looking up to the stars
(echoes of a distant time, you've gone so far)
Dancing by the moonlight and crawling out from wet and cold caves
(echoes of a distant time, you've gone so far)
We always felt there was more than horizons, rivers, forests and blood
(echoes of a distant time, you've gone so far)
a cruel path of sorrow that led ourselves out of control!
I dominate hunger, I dominate sin
I relief sorrow, I relief anger
Once they prayed for rain
now raising dams and draining oceans, seeding clouds
Clear visions of pasts
And memories of futures slowly merge to one
On their golden thrones
Prophets dressed in lies
words of absolution
preaching for meaningless lifes
Look to this flooded world, (Oh, I don't care!)
Aren't you scared by all these plastic faces? (I'm not afraid)
Do you think it's God's design? (so what can I do?)
Tomorrow has finally come and I know
You haven't figured out any way to survive
I'll go on and leave you behind

What Went Wrong
05:36
|
|||
Ancient ruins, worn stones
dust and sand on old times
cold nights, the unknown
when we feared the stars
centuries had gone like water drops in the sea
we came out from the caves but still we live inside four walls
I see only fog above and can't recall my past
can you remember how it was?
the colors of the dawn
you know there is a sun up there
but you don't know where
thousands of years to know the world
and just a few to ruin it
used to raise hopes in the sphere
now concealed by led lights
can't breathe
can't live
I wreck everything
can you remember how it was?
the color of the dawn
you know there is a sun up there
but you don't know where
I must leave my world

The long way home
08:08
|
|||
Since the humankind was born
stars have been shining in the nights
sailing boats, painting gods and now
it seems they're saying: "it's time for a new age"
everytime, everywhere
everyone is demoralized
what I leave behind is jeopardized
in the sea, in the fields, everything I needed
but I've always crossed the limit
red clouds above, desolation and desert below
anytime, anywhere
anybody looking for home
nothing has changed lost in the space
Then again, without a care, ready another planet
the sky was the limit
uninvited guest, running from myself
and I know over there someone look at the same sky
they point their finger to the same lights
we both hope that the answer to life's in the stars
we fear the same abyss deep in our hearts

Rebirth
05:01
|
|||
Silence all around, no more sounds
Miles of empty roads like arid veins
Towers of steel pierce the clouds
adrift satellites as iron flies
faded and shabby memories
of a creature gone long time ago
but in the misty air something revive
it's just a turn in the wheel of time
all of this has been and will be again
in places so distant from here
somewhere in time
the rain'll wash away all the things that I made
and feed the soil once more
in the stream of life
The mist fades and the moon appears
still watching in silence once again
the seed in the field becoming oak
the starving animal chasing the prey
regret what I see
where I used to live
the cradle I know
and now from up here
awareness of death
the fear of the unknow
all of this has been and will be again
in places so distant from here
the things that I've done now have faded away
There will be one day where we'll perceive
the echoes of the same old fears
when trying to make sense out of everything
up there in the sky the old man dreams
on a frozen bed in his brand new cave
through the void he's sailing while out there
(there's still) silence all around, no more sounds

Pillars of creation
05:58
|
|||
Wake up and feed the fire
Never let the darkness come
Set poles into the ground
And dig before the dawn
We stare at the sky with amazement
And are frightened when the lights fall down
moon without rest do your dance
before the eternal night
Keep sailing across the oceans
The end you’ll never find
But beware, we are helpless
when the storm breaks out
We stare at the sky with amazement
And are frightened when the lights fall down
moon without rest do your dance
before the eternal night
nevermore hunger, nevermore sinner
never feel sorrow, never feel anger
I know there's something more
than this horizon, river, forest, flesh and blood
I know we are something more
we are not beasts nor gods and soon we'll take control
you burn down my forests and dry my lakes for your own gain
can't you feel that you need my love to save you from yourself
We stare at our fires with amazement
The roads and towns will eat all around
moon without rest light our creation
we're taking control

Cradle lullaby
02:52
|
|||
The horizon we see was made by thy hand
the robe that we wear the bread on our plates
do not believe those who have no faith
for everything stands in thy holy hand
Anyone knows how far can I go?
beyond the seas, through the horizons
shall I find Thee? might still stand a chance
Soon you will know how far I can go
(Does anybody know?
How far can I go?
Will He be there for me?
Soon you will know how far I can go)
Anyone knows how far will I go?
Try to perceive the first and the last
but dark is the hour and long is the night
Soon you will know how far I will go
(Does anybody know?
How far will I go?
Will there be light for me?
Soon you will know how far I will go)

Losing control
05:33
|
|||
Following the mistery we declined in apathy
Wasting and devouring, propagating idiocy
Enchained to social tyranny, adrift into insanity
(are we chaos or divine?
could you help drawing the line?
now lie and say "all is fine")
[Where have all the flowers gone?
Misdirecting for too long
Tell me, where did we go wrong?]
Our land is gone we cannot endure
feeling we've lived this nightmare before
losing connection to this world, we've got lazy
losing perception of balance, we've gone crazy
the answers we've got, the questions we ask in vain
like a flock of birds we follow biological needs
forgetting who was leading and the things that really feeds
sometimes is so beautiful and sometimes is scaring real
(We do and claim all is right
and when in doubt we start a fight
enjoy and watch the world burn tonight)
[Mankind trapped in ignorance
All around indifference
Tell me, where's deliverance?]
So hard to keep going in this sorrow
feeling we've got too much to borrow
lost the connection and the grace with the moment we live
lost the perception and slowly we're losing control
the answers we have the questions we ask in vain

Awareness
06:45
|
|||
Here the end of our journey
Dazed by what we've found
A sea of ashes from a world
That is nothing but a far echo
Divided only by time and space
we made the same mistakes
Maybe it’s in our nature
To annihilate and redeem into light
We looked up to the sky
And shared the breath of life
Beheld the silent night
Ghosts from the past
And what far beyond
Depleted, plundered, corrupted
by those who swore to love her most
An angel without wings
A land death to the bone
Emptied, wasted, consumed
Again, we did it all again
But still can't find the reasons
so we'll meet at dawns with no light
We looked up to the sky
And shared the breath of life
Beheld the the silent night
Ghosts from the past
Still hope far beyond

Alter Echo
11:11
|
|||
In the silent deep of the dark
the void that is all around
vastness of looming night
but the end you'll never find
neverending flares of lights
ice rocks and giants of fire
perfect asymmetry
but the end you'll never find
in the eternal passing of time
for a moment our stories collide
two worlds with the same history
desolation and desert again
exile in infinite space
who knows where you are now
wander in search of fortune
but the end you'll never find
the horizon I see is all dust and sand
the masks that we wore seem so far away
a primitive peace I can't justify
the beauty I've found in the simple mind
everything fades so evanescent
by the sweat of the face we'll calm the hunger
and bend our backs like we used to
and we know out of there someone look the same sky
they point the finger, we point the finger
the line that was drawn from our fathers
Space and time will come one in your mind
that line takes us from and to nowhere
Read the sign, heading straight for the stars
(this time you realize)
(this time you're alive)
